The Technical Product Marketer plays a significant role in telling the world (and company) the story of Linode’s products, through a blend of industry and technical expertise, community engagement, and marketing messaging that helps our customer achieve maximum product-market fit.

Technical Product Marketing combines the skills of developer or solutions oriented sales engineers with an understanding of marketing to communicate the value of Linode’s existing and future products. In this role, you will be expected to demonstrate your knowledge and creativity to drive authentic engagement with the Linux and Linode user communities, which results in increased adoption.


  • Develop an understanding of our core products, use cases, and competitive environment, and act as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct discovery with development teams, sales leads, and customers to develop product messaging and strategy within the go-to-market process
  • Design, develop and deliver product content that communicate our value proposition to customers, partners, and internal teams (presentations, videos, copy, etc.)
  • Build relationships with the engineering, product, sales and marketing orgs to measure impact of initiatives and dependencies before releases


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • 3+ years of technical hands-on experience as a solutions engineer, development, or similar role
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in formal and informal scenarios
  • Ability to bring an entrepreneurial style to their work and lead through influence
  • Comfort with engaging in technical forums and online communities
  • Ability to multitask, manage time, and prioritize deliverables across teams
  • Experience collaborating with or hands-on projects within a marketing role

Nice to Haves

  • Passion for Linux and personal projects outside of your professional life
  • Cloud Infrastructure industry experience is a plus (AWS, GCP, DigitalOcean, etc.)

  • Competitive salary: It all begins with fair compensation. We believe in paying people well and rewarding those who go the extra mile. The compensation range for this position is between $100,000 to $140,000 based on a full-time schedule. The salary could vary outside of this range based on your specific skills and experience. Employees may also qualify for a bonus on top of base salary depending on company and individual performance.
