Working as a Site Reliability Engineer at Linode involves managing infrastructure for the largest independent open cloud provider in the world. Linode is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who is passionate about automation, servers, and providing the best service to our customers. This individual will monitor and advance the software and systems behind all of Linode's public services - Compute, Backups, GPU, etc. This means automating and building tools to gain insight and take action in regards to availability, latency, performance, and capacity. The ideal candidate is data driven and proactive in their decision making - always wanting to be ahead of the curve and anticipate any situation that may arise. This is an important role at Linode where you will be responsible for keeping critical systems up and running regardless of the situation.
As a SRE, you will act as the guide, across Infrastructure and Product teams, that will help identify and monitor SLIs to achieve operational excellence and meet agreed upon SLAs. It is your job to gather insights and help define goals from those insights which will allow you to advocate, automate, build, and progress our software and systems while continuing to uphold a high standard in the level of visibility we have across our production systems.
